Arminda Caffe: A Visual Identity Celebrating Tradition and Sophistication

Coffee Visual Identity

The proposal behind Arminda Caffe's visual identity is one that is steeped in history, meaning, and purpose. Designed by Arbo Design, this brand's visual identity pays homage to the rich heritage of Arminda and her granddaughter, both of whom have played a significant role in shaping the brand's story. With its unique blend of sophistication and care, Arminda Caffe stands out in the market, offering a truly meaningful experience for coffee lovers.

The history of Arminda Caffe is deeply rooted in the landscapes of the Uruguayan and Brazilian plateaus and plains, the paths of the tropeiros, and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee that fills the air. The brand's dedication to perfect cultivation and meticulous care in the postharvest and roasting stages ensures that only the finest beans are selected, resulting in a range of delicious and distinctive coffees.

Arbo Design has brought this rich history and dedication to life through a combination of traditional graphic processes and modern techniques that prioritize sustainability and the use of recyclable materials. This approach not only benefits the local economy by creating jobs and generating wealth but also contributes to the brand's commitment to environmental sustainability. By using carbon-free processes and recyclable materials, Arminda Caffe is able to minimize waste and even generate carbon credits.

Arminda Caffe's visual identity is not just about aesthetics; it is a reflection of the brand's values and commitment to excellence. The design process involved extensive research, including benchmark analysis, market and consumer research, and consumer-centric insights. This thorough approach ensured that every design decision, whether it be in graphics, usability, packaging, or crockery, was aligned with the brand's vision and supported by a cohesive visual brand language.

One of the key achievements of Arminda Caffe is obtaining the Rainforest Alliance seal, which certifies the brand's commitment to long-term environmental, social, and economic sustainability. This recognition ensures that every step of the product cycle, from farm to cup, meets strict standards and contributes to collective action for a better future.

The Arminda Caffe project was initiated in January 2020 in Curitiba, Brazil, and was completed in December of the same year. All aspects of the project, from research to development, were carried out in Brazil using local resources and raw materials, further emphasizing the brand's commitment to its Brazilian heritage.

Arbo Design overcame several creative and technical challenges to bring Arminda Caffe's visual identity to life. The main objective was to showcase the best of Brazilian products without resorting to stereotypes, highlighting the country's rich heritage and cultural diversity.

Arminda Caffe's visual identity has been recognized for its outstanding creativity and resourcefulness, earning it the Bronze A' Design Award in the Advertising, Marketing, and Communication Design category in 2021. This prestigious award celebrates designs that embody excellence in art, science, design, and technology, and contribute to improving the quality of life.

With its captivating visual identity and commitment to tradition, sophistication, and sustainability, Arminda Caffe is poised to make its mark in the world of premium coffee. It is a brand that not only offers a delightful coffee experience but also tells a story of heritage, care, and innovation.
